"People of Graça" is an homage to the workers in this neighbourhood sitting at the top of Lisbon's highest of its 7 hills. This mural, inspired by French photographer JR's Inside Out Project, showcases 20 portraits of people who work in the Travessa and Calçada do Monte, a small and tight alley full of life, wine, food and local businesses, that represents the spirit of Graça. Just at the skirts of the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, Lisbon's highest public viewpoint and an are well know to tourists, when the residents walk by the mural, they can claim and recognise the people in it, and celebrate that this is their "barrio".
