Our world is so immensely different, yet so parallel, one extreme from another. Like a dèjà vu, experiences lived before come across once again. The same symbols, in these opposite parts of the world, draw a line in between that connects them.
This series shows the visual parallels in our vast world through travel photography from America, to Africa, Europe and Asia. It intends to document the resemblances in human cultures, sometimes very distant from each other, yet so similar. With society and transportation taking center stage, these images intend to reveal our similarities.
By recruiting lots of visual and cognitive devices to form the message, the project merges travel photography with the personal and somewhat self-confessional element.
